The Season of Winter

So unfortunately it's that time again what little white flakes fall from the sky. There once was a time when I enjoyed snow and was overjoyed but that was 3 years ago when I first moved to the midwest. I am in dire need of some winter gear and am asking Santa to supply me. I need be warm and cute as well. Here are some things off my X-Mas wish list:
Sorel Boots- Must have for every Minnesotan

Sorel 1964 Pac Boot
I suppose a scarf would be smart to wear during Winter

Velvet Leggings!

and probably a warm 'Wild Things' hat to keep my REAL ears toasty

Fave Shows of S/S 2010

Almost every city's fashion week has gone by and I must say a lot of designers are doing their thing. Next years trends are looking great.

My faves of this Spring/Summer 2010:(top5)

Alexander Mcqueen "Plato's Atlantis"
Betsey Johnson "Betsey's One Night Stand" inspired by Eloise At the Plaza
Moschino Cheap & Chic "Fashion is Full of Chic"
Luella Bartley
Viktor & Rolf
They literally shaved off the gowns with Chain Saws!
"With the credit crunch and everybody cutting back, we decided to cut tulle ball gowns," Rolf Snoeren said.

Jeremy Scott for Adidas

Whenever Adidas comes to my mind, I think of workout clothes, running shoes, and anything having to do with sports. Jeremy Scott gives Adidas that edge it needs to stay in the fashion world. He stays true to his comical take on fashion and keeps things interesting and unexpected.

"I'm thrilled you've seen people wear it. It makes me so happy. I'm glad people are out there living it, loving it, making it their own. It means people identified with it, they've used their hard earned money to buy it; it's something that's important to them. They're identifying themselves to others like that. There's nothing that makes me happier. Of course, I love seeing performers wearing my clothes and perform, especially people I love. It's a whole other thing when you think about entering someone's daily lives. That's the ultimate goal of it: to spice up daily life with some exciting clothes." -- Jeremy Scott on his collection for Adidas in EXIT Magazine.

Get it With the Heel!!

It's been a few days since my last post. I forgot to mention these shoes I got as a gift on my birthday. They are fabulous. Steve Madden booties: Revenu with 4.5 in heels.

I wore my Steves to the book signing of LA Candy by LC at the Mall of America. I stood in line for an hour with these babys on my feet. It went by quickly though, but after it was over, I could barely walk. I had this mega blister which was really gross on my heel. These are cute to go with any outfit but I recommend wearing them when you don't have to stand for so long.
OH! and a pic of LC. She is so pretty, and quite nice. Nothing like the Lauren from The Hills.

i suck at placing pics cool....

I'm a Huntress Now

So I am finally 19. Well that happened like 10 days ago but STILL! I don't know about you but I always feel the need to buy myself a birthday gift every year. Well I basically use it as an excuse if I see something really cute.

Ok so I was on a search for sandals with ankle cuffs because I recently saw some at DSW and on the TopShop website. I didn't buy those right away because it wasn't love at first sight. It always seems to be that when you're not looking for specifics, things just seem to come to you, as did these amazing sandals by MIA. AH! I got them at Nordstrom's Rack, so I'm guessing it was a steal :)
MIA Huntress Sandal- $40

These sandals from DSW were cute at first, but I really like the taller cuff on the MIA sandal better. I've only gotten 3 compliments on them and that doesn't include family! The DSW ones are good if you want to start a trend without being too outrageous.
DSW Madden Girl Santanaa Ankle Cuff-$40

I couldn't find the ones I wanted a while back from topshop, but I did stumble upon these! Also from TopShop. It isn't on the stores website anymore so maybe you can go to NY or something and find in stores. Its the tallest cuff of them all. It's definitely an acquired taste. I would probably buy them if I knew where to find them. So different! A boot and sandal all in one.
Fonda Cuff Sandal- Not sure of the price

Definitely a new trend in my mind. Take a risk and buy a pair :) I love when people have to take a second look, even if it is a dirty one.
