Needs & Wants. Same Diff.

Baggy Sequined Tee. I must get into the DIY spirit. I just get so lazy and say Heck, I'm just going to buy this piece of cloth for $98...but with my current budget, I'm thinking that's not so possible. So what I'm going to do is buy a Large Hane's Men's Tee at Target or something and find a bag of sequins from the craft store. Then when it's finished, I can feel proud of myself and very accomplished. Can't wait.

Spring is here and I am in need of some peep-toes.
Want. But in black.

Thank you Jeffrey Campbell for the perfect shoes.

Meet the Flintstones

I was watching some 'Kell on Earth' which is an amazing show by the way, I caught a glimpse of one of my favorite designers. The show is on Bravo and I totally recommend it. Anyway, the show featured Kelly producing Jeremy Scott's Spring 2010 show. It was too cute. His theme was the Flintstones and had both guys and girls walk. He's a genius, always knows how to put on a show with his theatrical bits, and he's entertaining. A few snapshots from the runway:

Three in One

Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, and Free People. What do they have in common? Just that they are all run under the same company. I've always admired all their merchandise. The buyers really have some good taste.

The only difference between the three stores: quality. Of course, Urban Outfitters is not exactly the cheapest of stores, but I must say the price tags do not reflect the handiwork at all. Practically everything I've purchased from there has been damaged, except items from the housewares department.

Anthropolgie; never really purchased anything from here but I do find myself walking inside every time there is one nearby. It's more that kind of sustainable, hippy, chic kinda girl. Not quite my style, but I do enjoy looking around in there. Anthro's house ware is really quite cute. If I was not a college student and actually had a job at the moment, I believe I would buy out all the dishes and bathroom accessories. So irresistible!

Lastly, my favorite of the three, but definitely out of my price range, Free People. They actually do not have stores in every state, which is quite depressing. Each store has its own personality and the people that work there actually get to design the store layout every time there is a new floor set; which I think is really awesome. Anyway to accommodate for the states that don't have their own store, you can find a lot of Free People being sold in department stores such as Macy's and Nordstrom. Every once in a while, Macy's has some huge markdowns. That is my favorite because I can actually purchase something! I just wanna show a few of my favorites of what is coming up for this season from Free People.

The store I usually shop at when I can. It's this little store in an alleyway right near an Urban. Love it!

I LOVE shirts that are really baggy. They match everything and you can wear it for pretty much any occasion. And plus, they're just plain comfy!

I think that overalls will always be cute. Just depends if you can really pull it off, and if it's the right style, such as these vintage ones.

These shoes were on the FP site but they're by Irregular Choice. Planning on buying some soon.

This is Not a Test

Love Zooey Deschanel. Just currently listening to her album She & Him. Cute little songs and cute little artist/actor. Her voice is kind of old fashioned but it's really special. I feel like I could listen to her on vinyl and throw it on my record player. I was just discussing with my roommate that her music makes you just wanna sit out on the porch on a sunny day and sip some fresh lemonade.

My top fave songs by her:
1. This is Not a Test
2. I Was Made for you
3. Why Do you Let Me Stay Here?
4. Sentimental Heart
5. You Really Got a Hold on Me
